Three golf clubs in Hampshire have been awarded the Junior GolfMark for their hard work and dedication to junior golf.
Alresford, Four Marks and Hayling are the recipients of the award introduced in September as one of the many initiatives that aim to help the development of junior golf in England and forms part of the England Junior Golf Partnership.
It places emphasis on coaching and playing, club environment as well as child protection and duty and care.
The EGU and ELGA development officers are currently conducting assessment meetings, offering advice and guidance to golf clubs on how to further enhance their junior sections and develop best practices.
The American Golf Holiday Company is to sponsor the scoreboard, used at more than 45 Hampshire PGA tournaments, for a two-year term. The company, based at Hedge End near Southampton, will use the opportunity to promote its range of golf holidays.
