YOUNG dancers have an opportunity to work with arguably the most renowned and eagerly-anticipated dance company in the UK.
A performance of Intimate Sitings will be led by Motionhouse dancers who will work with two groups of youngsters to create their own work around the contexts of the original piece.
Performances are always surprising and unique, with a blend of comedy, energy and style.
Working with the themes of communication and miscommunication, groups are encouraged to explore ideas from all angles.
Transported to a bar, a sitting room and a changing room, Intimate Sitings uses the trademark Motionhouse dynamism, strength and physicality to take a humorous look at communication battles and contests for control.
The workshops, at Central Studio, will be split into two rehearsal periods - February 16 to 20 (half-term) and April 5 to 8 - with the performance taking place at 7.30pm on April 8 at the Haymarket Theatre.
The cost of the Motionhouse project is £50 per person and places are strictly limited to 14.
Selection will be via audition, from 1pm on Saturday, January 31, at Central Studio.
Those wishing to participate must be aged between 15 and 21.
