SMART, maker of the distinctive city cars and roadsters, has announ-ced plans to enter the sport utility market in 2006 with a version of its soon-to-be-launched forfour.
Called the formore, this fourth model range will also head the company's entry into the US market at the same time as the four-wheel-drive is launched in Europe.
Plans are already in place to build the formore in a Brazilian factory owned by DaimlerChrysler.
With the name formore, smart is following through the policy it recently announced with its four-seater forfour.
From the start of this year, the firm's existing city-coup and city-cabrio have also fallen into line, as new cars off the production line have been badged fortwo coup and fortwo cabrio respectively.
