TALK: On Wednesday, the Horticultural Society will be meeting in the Ellisfield Memorial Hall at 7.45pm. The guest speaker is Mr John Negus, and the subject of his talk will be "Conservatory and Greenhouse Gardening".
As always, non-members from the three villages of Ellisfield, Cliddesden and Farleigh Wallop will be made welcome.
The society's 2004 programme has now been finalised and full details can be found on its section of the www.ellisfield.gov.uk website.
NUTS: This is the time of year that the bird population needs our help.
Most of us ensure that there is always some fresh water available to them and that we supplement the food that nature provides.
Seumas Foster, author of the popular In the Fields articles for the Hill and Dale magazine, is offering us a way to reduce what we pay for peanuts and wild bird seed.
By buying in bulk, he is offering Ellisfield residents the smaller amounts at big-size prices.
To take advantage of this excellent not-for-profit idea, contact Seumas direct on 381443.
ALMOST sold out: There may still be, by the time you read this, a few £10 tickets left for Friday's Shep Woolley evening at the Memorial Hall.
With a fish and chip supper included, it should be a great night out.
Contact any hall committee member, or me on 381269, if you would like tickets for this event.
