BEETLE drive: At Christ the King Church on March 26, beginning at 7pm.

Everyone is welcome. Why not come along and bring a friend too?

PARTY time: It was party time at the church last Friday. People who meet at the Friday coffee morning, those who regularly attend church and visitors all joined in the fun.

A three-course meal was prepared by Teresa and Pat and served by many willing hands.

The menu included turkey, ham, sausage plait or vegetable flan for the main course. I chose Christmas pudding for dessert from five options. The meal was delicious.

Throughout the evening, we were entertained with music by the Dynamos, Ron on his guitar and Jim playing the accordion.

Their musical skill is always much appreciated. They began with old favourites such as When I Fall in Love and Anniversary Waltz.

During the interval, the players joined everyone for the meal, but afterwards continued entertaining with Slow Boat to China, Danny Boy and Old Man River.

The Russian dancing was a pleasure to watch and we got together for the Hokey-Cokey, Conga and Lambeth Walk.

Not to be forgotten was the quiz. All questions began with the word "Home", but what came next?

Thank you very much to Teresa, Pat, Pam and all those who worked so hard to make an enjoyable party a great success.
