SAINTS have not offered a contract to Norwegian striker Oyvind Svenning.

The GIF Sundsvall youngster made a positive impression on Saints boss Gordon Strachan during a couple of trials, but has not been offered a contract.

"I have been told that they have been pleased with me and what I have done in training," Svenning said.

"But as the whole management team is to be changed in the summer, the club will not take the chance to buy me. The new bosses will decide on their own what players they will buy."

Svenning could now move to Norwegian club Rosenborg, added: "I was prepared for a negative answer."
