ENTRIES are streaming in for the Romsey Five-mile Road Race, which takes place this Sunday (25th).
There's an entry form on page 13 of today's edition of the Advertiser and entries will also be accepted on the day.
Registration is at 9am at the Romsey School, and the event itself starts at the Greatbridge Industrial Estate at 10.30.
The course wends its way around the outskirts of the town, finishing back at the Greatbridge Industrial Estate. A mong the race favourites are Michael Twomey and Simon Plummer from Southampton RC, while the ladies' field is headed by Basingstoke & Mid-Hants AC's Caroline Slimin. Top teams from all over the region are expected.
The oldest competitors (so far!) are 79 year old William Williamson, from Winchester, and 82-year-old New Forest runner Bruce Davison.
