Runners will have the incentive of £100 prize money if they can beat the race record in the ninth Team Solent 5K Road Race on March 7 (10.30am).
The times to beat are 14 minutes and 23 seconds for the men and 16.15 for the women on a fast, flat course beginning and ending at Ocean Village, Southampton.
The route takes the runners under the Itchen Bridge, past St Mary's Stadium and back to the Harbour Lights cinema.
There will be team trophies for men and women in both the senior and veteran age groups and a memento for every finisher.
Entries will be taken until 10am on the day of the race and there will be a limit of 300 runners. The fee is £6 for UKA club members and £7 for unattached runners, with an extra £2 added for those entering on the day.
