A Winchester writer and broadcaster will reveal the secrets of the stars to raise money for a local St John Ambulance appeal.
John Miller will give a fascinating insight into the lives of the many international stars that he has worked with over the years.
He has written biographies on Peter Ustinov and Judi Dench, and collaborated with John Mills, John Gielgud and Ralph Richardson.
He is also a director of the Winchester Festival.
The St John Ambulance appeal for a new Crusader ambulance for Alresford now stands at £14,000, with a target of £22,500 to find by September 2004.
Val Stone, president of the Alresford division of St John Ambulance, said:
"We are delighted that John is helping us by supporting our appeal in this way."
He will be appearing at Itchen Abbas Village Hall this Saturday at 7.30pm.
Tickets at £10, to include a glass of wine and canapes, can be booked through Hilary Moore on 01962 736036.
