A DECISION on whether to allow topless dancing in Basingstoke has been delayed by the borough council.
Basingstoke council's licensing committee was due to meet yesterday to consider an application that would allow the adult entertainment in Top of the Town venue Drake's Bar.
However, because of the amount of interest in the high-profile application, the council said on Monday that a final judgement would be decided at a special meeting of the full licensing committee.
Committee chairman Cllr Doris Jones said: "This will be an open meeting and the council welcomes public participation."
The date has yet to be set.
