Sir.-How I agree with Denis Padwick ("Ashamed of Basingstoke", last Friday's Gazette).
Unfortunately, this kind of behaviour occurs in many places. My only hope is that people will now support the appeal.
I have often been a voice in the wilderness because others are either afraid of reprisals or think no-one will care any way.
Great Britain, where have you gone?
Let's face it, there are far too many who seem to think they can do what they like. I have enough problems at home without disruptions outside.
Basingstoke has the opportunity to put things right - and Tadley can follow its example!
