Sir.-I am writing with reference to the condition of the footpaths in and around Brighton Hill, Basingstoke.
People seem to let their dogs foul the paths with no consideration for others.
I know the dogs can't help it, but my children can't even go to school at Manor Field without having to fight through the obstacle course. It's like a minefield.
I know the council has mobile machines designed for paths and any other tight spots but we never seem to see them around here.
When I spoke to the council about this matter I got a lot of sympathetic ears but nothing further ever seems to happen.
I hope my letter will make people think about the misery they cause by not cleaning up after their dogs.
I am sure I am not the only one who feels strongly about this matter.
