BINGO: Sadly, weekly bingo sessions in the village hall are under threat, due to lack of numbers.
Peggy Hutchins says: "My mum has been coming and really enjoys it."
She added: "For some people it's their major source of social contact and would be a great shame if it finished."
So, if you fancy bingo on Monday evenings, from 8pm to 10pm, along with a raffle and refreshments, hurry - before it's too late. All are welcome to come along.
CONGRATULATIONS to the girls at Hair Affair.
Olivia says: "Following our sponsored slim in December, we have donated £166.25 to St Michael's Hospice and we really feel better for it."
WELCOME back: To the nought-to-fives who started back at the village hall on Tuesdays from January 6.
Every week the babies and toddlers meet from 1pm to 3.30pm for singing and crafts.
It costs £1.50 for one child or £2 for two, and includes tea or coffee. The group meet every week until Easter, including half-term.
DATE for your diary: On Saturday, February 28, in the village hall, the nought-to-fives and Happy Faces are holding a joint "Spring Market".
Jackie says: "This will be a cross between a farmers market and a craft fair."
There will be country produce, flowers, cakes, Chocoholics and Farmer Gosden's ice cream. Entry is by donation.
NWR: The group held its January planning meeting recently and topics this year include an Indian theme evening, a ramble, a safari supper and visits to a synagogue and a supermarket.
Call Gill on 882106 for more information.
PARISH council: The council met on Tuesday. Details of that meeting next week.
