NEWS from The Vyne Community School.
Mrs Bentley has left to have a baby, Ms Hughes is moving to another post and Mrs Bikinas is returning home to Canada. They will all be missed. Joining the school are Mr Gray, Mrs Toohey, and Mrs Scharff.
Year 6 classes from our feeder schools took part in the World Arts Experience, and for three days they worked with various artists, sponsored by the council, The Anvil, and The Vyne school.
Adult education at the school begins on Monday. There are courses in art, craft, design and photography, fitness, health and beauty, general interest, languages, business and IT and family free learning.
Courses also include life figure sculpture, painting with acrylics, digital photography and editing, easy exercise for the young at heart and yoga for beginners.
General interest courses include motorcycle maintenance, introduction to floristry, introduction to woodwork and Level 1 Certificate in communication tactics with deaf people and deaf awareness.
Other courses include Spanish for beginners, intermediates and conversation, e-mail and the internet, and OCR Level 1 bookkeeping.
