CHRISTMAS tree recycling: Trees may be left on the grass area opposite the school lay-by in Oakley Lane. The last collection will be made on Today.
OAKLEY Woodlands Group: Hazel planting will be one of the tasks awaiting volunteers for the group work parties in St John's Copse on Wednesday and Saturday, January 24, in Cowdown Copse.
Tools and refreshments are provided and the work starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm.
For further details, contact Audrey on 780074 or Brian on 780810.
SCOUTS: The Scouts delivered more than 1,300 cards this Christmas - a great boost to their funds and a great help to those of us who would otherwise leave local cards to a last minute Christmas Eve dash!
Funds can also be raised for the Scouts by giving them your old mobile phones or used laser, fax or ink cartridges. These can be left at Redwoods Estate Agents or at 1 Ash Tree Close.
MOBILE phones: These can also be donated to the Children's Society, which can also accept foreign money and used stamps. Please take your donations to 80 Hill Road.
