SIXTH Wife: There are still a few tickets for the Alison Neil performance of the story of Catherine Parr at the Village Club on Saturday, January 24, at 7.40pm.

Tickets cost £8.50 and include interval wine and light refreshments. Call Josie Norton on 298059.

BROADBAND: The wireless broadband service will be formally launched by Sir George Young, our MP, on Friday, January 23.

Hopefully people waiting for the service will soon be connected.

COUNCIL meeting: The parish council is having an extraordinary meeting on Monday, January 19, at 7.30pm, to consider planning issues, especially the proposals for Fox's Farm and the paddock between Thornely Road and the bypass.

Anyone may speak on the subject for three minutes and the parish council will take all views into account.

MALT House: You may not realise it, but the landscaped area to the west of the churchyard is a park, belonging to the borough, known as the Malt House Open Space.

The parish council is now calling for ideas for this space.

VILLAGE Club: The flower arranging class has had to be postponed due to lack of numbers.
