VANDALISM: More apparently random acts of vandalism have been reported in the area recently.
Attacks on fences seem to be particularly popular at the moment. The police and council officers are aware of the problem but, as always, a solution is not so easy.
YOUR feedback: Local councillors are asking for your feedback on a couple of local issues.
First of all, they want to know whether the changes to footpaths along Danebury Road have improved the situation and made walking to school easier.
They also want to know your views on the sports barn issue. It looks as though some of the money made available by developers in Beggarwood for community facilities in the new part of the estate may eventually come back to the Beggarwood development, if all of it is not needed for improvements to the Sports Centre.
The council will be starting a consultation exercise with locals sometime in the future, but councillors would like to know your views now.
If you have views on this, please let your local representatives know. Cllrs Heath, Putty and Robinson can all be contacted at the Civic Offices.
SCHOOL parking: Parking around St Mark's Primary School has become more of a problem with the current building work and the loss of part of the school car park.
With mud on the road and the recent awful weather, drivers are asked to take particular care when passing the school.
Hatch Warren Junior School has this week introduced a permit parking only scheme for its car park, where only permit holders will be allowed to use it.
This is in response to safety concerns about parents using the car park to pick up or drop off or even turn around.
