IT was a massive fundraising effort across the south coast footballing divide when two Hampshire teenagers raised more than £900 for charity.
Lee Taylor, a year 11 pupil at Priestlands School in Lymington, and Lee Bailey, a 16-year-old from Horndean Technology College near Portsmouth, were suitably rewarded for their efforts with shirts signed by their footballing heroes from Saints and Pompey respectively.
The pair managed to drum up the most sponsorship to play in a charity match held in memory of Richard Bowler, pictured, a Locks Heath teenager who died from a brain haemorrhage.
As part of a massive fundraising effort, friends and family organised a family fun day and football match in Richard's memory with proceeds going to charities in both cities.
Organiser of the Smile for Rich event Neil Westbrook said: "It was a fantastic effort from both of them. Out of the 53 young people that participated in the match, they raised over £900 between just the two of them - it was a great effort."
