A HAMPSHIRE pensioner is so incensed by his inflation-busting council tax bills that he wants to set up his own action group.
Philip Harding, 72, of Marlborough Grove, Portchester, believes people are being "robbed left, right and centre" by the tax.
He was disappointed to discover there were no action groups where he lives and that no transport had been arranged from there to go to today's rally in London.
Thousands of people from across the country are converging on Trafalgar Square today to join the protest organised by reform group Isitfair.
They are determined to make Tony Blair realise that the property tax has to change because it does not take into account how much people earn.
Mr Harding said: "I would be there if I could be but I will have to settle for watching it on TV. They have my full support.
"After reading all the stories in this week's Echo I got in touch with the people going to the march. I was very disappointed to discover there wasn't a group near where I live or anywhere around here where we could get a coach up to the rally. I'm thinking of setting up my own group in Portchester but I want to find out how many people would be interested."
The retired welder lives with his wife Sandra in a Band D two-bedroom bungalow.
He added: "The people going to London have got the right idea. We have to keep worrying the MPs because at the moment we are living in a dictatorial country."
