ENERGY was high at the weekend as more than 110 people took part in Barton Stacey's fun run in aid of Cygnets Playgroup.
It was the ideal opportunity for people to work off the extra pounds put on over the festive period and help raise money for the playgroup.
Anthony King came first in the 10km race, Anne Poole won the women's 10km race, Ross Sherwood won the 3km race and Rose Haggar came first in the women's 3km race.
Dominic Turner won the egg and spoon race, Rupert Poole won the beanbag race and Kathryn Drinkwater came first in the crazy hat competition.
Organiser Kathie Knell said: "I was really impressed. "For a small village there was a great turnout."
So far more than £700 has been raised, which will go towards IT equipment for the playgroup.
