Wimborne's misery was Winchester City's joy as they napped lowly Whitchurch United to move within four points of the Magpies - with two games in hand.
Lloyd Webber rattled the visitors' woodwork before City took the lead after 29 minutes, Andy Forbes's downward header hitting United defender Cliff Power and deflecting into the net for an unfortunate own goal.
City doubled their lead right on half-time as Shaun Dyke crossed for Danny Smith to head home and, early in the second half, Liam Green found Forbes, who lofted the ball over the 'keeper for City's third.
Matty Bicknell's 30-yard free-kick missed everyone to sneak in at the far post for number four after 53 minutes, with Forbes completing the nap hand in the final minute.
Alton Town's home match with Cowes was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
