VOLUNTEER: Oakley residents are not usually backward at coming forward but no one has expressed an interest in taking over this column following my invitation to any volunteers.
You are, therefore, stuck with me for the time being, but if anyone would like to know more about it please call me.
OAKLEY Woodlands Group: This will be a busy month and the group would welcome some more help.
The tasks of cutting and planting are now joined by the need to meet orders for coppiced material such as pea sticks, bean poles and fencing posts.
For further details, please contact Audrey on 780074 or Brian on 780810.
OAKLEY Scout group jumble sale: Saturday, January 17, in East Oakley Village Hall.
The sale starts at 2pm, and any jumble, bric-a-brac or items for the auction can be left at the hall on the morning of the sale or at one of the collection points listed in the Link magazine.
