MISSED: The Little Acorn Players were greatly missed this year, but thank you to Wendy Onslow for her card.
I know there have recently been people poorly with colds and flu and I hope they will soon feel better.
I hope, also, that the players will be back to entertain us in style next Christmas.
NEW Year's Eve party: This went with a swing at Brighton Hill Community Association.
It started at 7pm with the hall filling with guests.
They were soon jiving to the sound of Nick's Storm Disco.
Line dancing was popular, with many joining in cha-cha to the right, cha-cha to the left, everybody clap your hands!
Especially for children was Nellie the Elephant, with all following the lead to say "Goodbye to the circus".
Unchained Melody, Can't Help Falling In Love With You and Lady In Red were requests from many lively dancers.
As the night progressed, the tempo speeded up. Families were rocking and rolling and having a great time.
When the clock turned midnight, everybody sang Auld Lang Syne followed by You'll Never Walk Alone.
Everybody wished one another a happy New Year and hugged in a friendly fashion.
It was a good night and altogether £300 was raised for the association.
Thanks to the members for all their hard work.
