BRICKS and mortar are always considered a good long-term investment - and two sales in 2003 through agent Dreweatt Neate proved this theory.
A Musselwhite house in Worting Road, Basingstoke, was built in the 1920s and sold in August 1978 for £53,000. Last year the extended detached house came up for sale again after 25 years and went under offer with a guide price of £315,000.
The extended Moonfleet home in Reading Road, Chineham, dates back to the 1930s and changed hands in 1977 for £21,000.
Extensions to Moonfleet have created a spacious family home set in a large garden and it sold last year after marketing with a price guide of £435,000.
