THE MAYOR of Eastleigh's charity appeal looks set to get a boost thanks to a few beans and a giant.
Westfield Productions are guaranteeing lots of family fun for a good cause with their production of Jack and the Beanstalk which opens on Wednesday.
The group is in its 65th year and this is the seventh panto staged by them at The Point. Proceeds from the show will be going to help two local causes.
Eastleigh and District MIND is a service to adults with mental health problems and Bishopstoke First Responders are volunteers who help in a medical emergency providing crucial assistance until ambulance crews arrive.
Wendy Pointer, who is playing Dame Dottie Trot says: "We really enjoy performing for Eastleigh so helping to raise money for such a good cause as the Mayor's charity appeal is an added bonus."
Wednesday to Saturday, January 17. Tickets: from £4.50. Box office: 023 8065 2333.
