THE parents of murdered teenager Hannah Foster could fly to India to boost the hunt for the prime suspect.

The Daily Echo can reveal the emotional visit is just one of a number of ideas under consideration by Hampshire police as they continue the search for the killer of the 17-year-old Southampton student.

Det Supt Alan Betts has already flown to New Delhi twice to try to pinpoint the whereabouts of Maninder Pal Singh Kohli. He fled to India two days after Hannah's body was found in a country lane in March.

Det Supt Betts told the Daily Echo: "We are looking at 101 ideas and if we needed publicity over there, then an option would be to take them over there.

"It would be quite a traumatic experience for them. They are very good and will pretty much do anything within reason that we would ask of them if it would help."

Kohli, 35, became one of Britain's most wanted men after disappearing to his native country from his Southampton home following the abduction, rape and murder of Hannah.

Her body was found on March 16 last year in Allington Lane, West End.

Dept Supt Betts said he hoped the killer would be caught this year.

"I would like to think we will get him this year and people must know where he is. I am still determined to capture him and certainly Hampshire Consta-bulary does not have the reputation of giving up."

Talented student Hannah, who was taking A-levels at Barton Peveril College in Eastleigh, was abducted as she walked home alone after a night out with friends in Southampton.

A £14,000 reward is on offer for information leading to the arrest of Kohli.

More than 100 detectives have been involved in the hunt for Hannah's killer, making it one of the biggest investigations ever undertaken by Hampshire Constabulary.
