AN Eastleigh man will be trying to drum up enthusiasm for staying awake on Channel 4's latest reality TV show, Shattered.
The show, which is like Big Brother but without beds features 12 contestants battling to stay awake and be in with a chance of scooping a potential prize fund of £100,000.
The contestants entered the Shattered compound on Sunday and their sleep-deprived experiences can be viewed on Channel 4 each night and live on E4.
The more the competitors sleep, the more money they lose and each night they will have to compete against each other in a live task to keep their place on the show.
Glenn Clarke, a drummer and percussion tutor from Bishopstoke, Eastleigh is to be featured on Shattered tonight as he teaches basic percussion and rhythm exercises to a group of sleep-deprived contestants.
Glenn has been teaching percussion since the late 1980s and has become an established performer and tutor whose classes range from school workshops to corporate ice-breaking and stress releasing sessions.
The Shattered contestants' class with Glenn is intended to promote team building and camaraderie, with the participants working together to create a lively percussion ensemble band. You can be sure that, with all that noise going on, it's going to be almost impossible for any of the contestants to sneak off for a quick doze! Tune in to Shattered tonight at 10pm to see what happens.
Glenn Clarke can be contacted via www.grcpercussion.co.uk or on 023 8060 1235.
