Winchester City's Ian Mancey spelt double trouble for his old club, Fleet Town, in the third round of the Russell Cotes Cup.
The towering marksman scored twice as Winchester's Wessex League title chasers outgunned the Southern League strugglers 4-0 at the Denplan City Ground.
Andy Forbes sandwiched an excellent finish between Mancey's two and then set up Danny Smith to fire home City's 66th-minute fourth. Neil Hards's team now play Brockenhurst away in the quarter-final.
In the Wessex League Alton showed no ill effects of losing striker Richard Mealey to Fleet Town.
They pulled off the shock result of the night, burying Guy Whittingham's fifth-placed Newbury 3-0 at Anstey Road.
All the damage was inflicted in the first half through Dave Bridger, John Edwards and a Steve Larvan penalty awarded for handball.
"Newbury had most of the second-half pressure but we're very happy to beat a team in their position," said Town chairman Jim McKell.
