POLICE are handing out flyers in a bid to trace a vulnerable Winchester man, who urgently needs to take medication, after he went missing on Saturday.

David Roberts, 31, disappeared from an address in Romsey Road and was last spotted on Monday morning.

He vanished again before police could speak to him and they are now distributing flyers around the city in the hope that someone might recognise him.

Sgt Annabel Berry of Winchester police said: "David's parents are very worried and have been searching for him all over the district. They're desperate to get in touch with David because he urgently needs to take medication and he could become ill without it.

"David is quite distinctive because he often wears dark sunglasses with a woollen hat, so we're hopeful that someone will spot him and let us know where he is."

David is 5ft 8in and stocky with untidy brown hair.

He often carries a blue or black rucksack as well as wearing the sunglasses and hat.

When David was last seen he was wearing a beige anorak and was pushing a black mountain bike.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen David should contact police immediately on 0845 045 4545 or call the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
