FUNDRAISERS had two special reasons for selecting a Winchester maternity unit as their annual worthy cause.
Shirley Robbins, a member of the Foresters Friendly Society, gave birth at the Royal Hampshire Hospital on Christmas Day last year.
Donald Hillier, another member, became grandad to a baby that was born there prematurely on January 13.
The society raised a total of £220. at two skittles evenings. The money will now be put towards a heart monitor for babies.
