Winchester City have beaten off competition from several clubs to sign Newport IOW goalkeeper Simon Arthur - and have also added Bashley striker Stuart Hussey to their squad. Havant & Waterlooville, Chippenham, Eastleigh and Salisbury were all keen to sign former Saints Academy keeper Arthur, 20, before Wessex League Winchester moved in.
Director of football David Malone, who signed Hussey when the 25 year-old was released from his Bashley contract, said: "These are two quality signings, players who can play Southern League football."
