Bashley's best win since John Robson took charge,a a 3-0 demolition of Folkestone Invicta, was marred by two more injuries.
Martin Whiddett scored his first goal since following Robson from Totton to give Bashley a 12th minute lead from close range.
And on the stoke of half time midfielder Andy Culliford doubled the advantage with a brilliant first time finish.
Then Danny Gibbons scored one of the best goals seen at Bashley on the hour mark following a move that began in the New Forest club's penalty area.
Centre half Andy Garnton broke at pace and a first time pass from Ollie Sheriff played in Gibbons, who found the far corner.
But the bad news is that Matt Jones and Michael Jackson were both injured. Midfielder Jones is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after limping off with an ankle injury within 25 minutes of coming on as a substitute.
And target man Jackson had to be taken to hospital with concussion before half time.
Newport IOW's 1-0 win at Corby keeps them on course for a top eight finish.
Striker Danny Hatcher scored the only goal following a cross from Ashley Wright.
Manager Steve Tate said: "No disrespect to Corby but it's a horrible place to go, it's always windy and there are only 20 people watching so we got the three points and left as quickly as possible!"
The bad news for Tate is that defender Peter Tagg is now out for the rest of the season.
