The Rose Bowl will host the ICC Champions Trophy next September with The Oval and Edgbaston, writes Simon Walter.
The biennial tournament is coming to England for the first time since its inception in 1998 and Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove said: "This is fantastic news. It places our magnificent ground at the heart of international cricket in this country.
"Things like this don't just happen - the ground has come a long way in a short time. This accolade reflects well on everyone involved."
The ICC Champions Trophy is one of the premier events on the global cricket calendar involving all the Test playing countries.
Details of the draw are expected to be released early next month.
The Rose Bowl hosted its first one day international in July - it's second is next July between the West Indies and New Zealand.
