ALIEN: DIRECTOR'S CUT (15): Re-release of the classic 1979 sci-fi horror starring Sigourney Weaver. Despite being over 20 years old, this film still has the ability to shock, with the chest-buster sequence yet to be equalled.

BAD BOYS 2 (15): Will Smith and Martin Lawrence team up again as wisecracking cops Mike and Marcus.

BELLEVILLE RENDEZVOUS (12A): Charming French cartoon about a boy's dog and grandmother who launch a search for him after he is kidnapped during the Tour de France.

CABIN FEVER (15): Horror film about a group of teenagers who come under attack from a deadly contagious flesh-eating bug.

CALENDAR GIRLS (12A): Uplifting true story about a Women's Institute group who decide to strip off for their charity calendar to raise funds for their local hospital.

FINDING NEMO (U): Cute Disney Pixar animation set in the ocean. When a young clown fish, Nemo, is caught by a diver and put in an aquarium, his dad, Marlin, sets out on an adventurous journey to rescue him.

HOLES (PG): Family drama about a boy who is wrongfully sent to a desert detention camp where he is put to work digging holes by the cruel warden.

IN THE CUT (18): Meg Ryan's return to the big screen is a far cry from her pervious roles. She stars as a lonely woman who embarks on an affair and finds herself caught up in a string of grisly murders.

INTOLERABLE CRUELTY (12A): George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones star as a top divorce lawyer the wife of his client, who he falls for. A comedy about betrayal, divorce and love.

KILL BILL - VOLUME 1 (18): Quentin Tarantino returns to the big screen with this gore-filled martial arts movie. Uma Thurman stars as The Bride, an assassin who seeks violent revenge against her former gang who tried to kill her.

THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN (12A): A group of characters from Victorian fiction, including Allan Quatermain, Captin Nemo and Mina Harker are brought together for a secret mission.

THE LIZZIE MCGUIRE MOVIE (U): Big-screen spin-off from the popular TV series for younger viewers. Lizzie goes on a school trip to Rome where she gets into various scrapes, including being mistaken for a pop star's girlfriend.

MYSTIC RIVER (15): A group of childhood friends are reunited as adults in unpleasant circumstances.

PIGLET'S BIG MOVIE (U): Winnie the Pooh and co get another cinematic outing with this tale of friendship in which the gang realise that although Piglet might be the smallest among them, he has the biggest heart.

RUGRATS GO WILD (U): The characters from the popular The Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys cartoons team up for a jungle adventure.

STANDING IN THE SHADOWS OF MOTOWN (PG): Documentary about a group of musicians.

SECONDHAND LIONS (PG): Coming of age story about a boy who is unwillingly sent to stay with his eccentric uncles in Texas.

SPIRITED AWAY (PG): Animation about a selfish, spoilt girl who must work hard and learn humility if she is to save her parents.

SPY KIDS 3-D: GAME OVER (U): The third instalment of the Spy Kids franchise.

THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (18): Remake of the 1974 original. A slasher horror based on a true story.
