QUIZ night: Are you a quiz addict or just want to join in a team of six to test your brainpower? The date is November 15, 7.30pm for 8pm, in the hall. Tickets cost £6 and include a fish and chip supper. Bring your own drinks.

SPEED limit: Have you noted the speed limits have been reduced from 40mph to 30mph around Silchester? Take care!

Little London has gained a 30mph sign too, so the speeders along our narrow roads should watch out.
