FIREWORKS: Don't forget that the Hatch Warren Fireworks Extravaganza takes place tomorrow evening. The gates open at 6.30pm.

Tickets cost £3.50 for members and £5 for non-members. A family ticket costs £6 for members and £10 for non-members. Children's tickets are priced at £1.

PHONE mast update: Local campaigner Simon Preedy reports that Orange, one of the companies currently looking for a site in the Hatch Warren area, is planning a consultation with residents.

This should take place during the next month or so. Further details when I have them.

SKATE park news: The recent public meeting about the skate park proposed for the Brighton Hill playing fields attracted an attendance of around 50 to 60 people.

The general consensus seemed to be that the site was not ideal and that a better position would be at nearby Down Grange.
