THE Basingstoke Town FC Supporters Club is appealing to fans for increased backing to enable it to continue providing help in the variety of ways it already does at the Camrose.
Over the last 15 years, the Supporters Club has financed the following projects:
Building the terrace on the Winchester Road side of the ground
Concreting the terrace on the Mansfield Road side of the ground
Terracing the clubhouse end of the ground
Supplying improved floodlights
Replacing the supporters club shop
Financing the cost of specialised treatment to injured players
Sponsoring the Player Of The Year Award.
Members of the supporters club also voluntarily assist on match days as gatemen, stewards and on the stand collecting admission fees.
The supporters club's Richard Locker said: "We want to help to continue to financially assist the football club on projects that will be of benefit to supporters.
"We'd also like more fans to assist us with duties on matchdays, so that's why we are asking for help. It is really needed."
Any Town fan interested in helping should make themselves known to either Richard Locker or Neil Tysoe on match days in the supporters club shop.
