A CASINO evening and raffle at the Royal Oak in Charlton in aid of the special care baby unit at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester have so far raised £1,250 - with more money to come.
Theressa Fraser from Andover is raising funds for the unit in memory of her youngest son Harry who was born with a rare chromosome disorder and was cared for by staff at the unit. He tragically died earlier this year at the age of eight months.
Now, thanks to the generosity of Andover companies she is holding a second prize draw later this month.
The raffles were split in two with the main prize at the Royal Oak on Friday night being a helicopter flight and 30 other goodies.
Tickets are now being sold for a second raffle at the Royal Oak on 22 November with another 30 prizes including a session in a Ferrari.
Theressa said: "They do such incredible work there (the unit) and they're just so short of things.
"Some extra funds would mean so much to the people who have to spend Christmas there like we did last year."
Theressa wanted to thank her sister Lisa Horton for all her help in gathering raffle prizes.
Tickets for the second prize draw are available at the Angel, the Central Club and the Royal Oak.
