MANAGER Barry Blankley reckons it's 'make you mind up time' for AFC Totton midfielder Mark Clothier.

The right-sided player has also signed Dr Martens League forms for Bashley and played a full 90 minutes for the Foresters in Tuesday's friendly against Lymington & New Milton.

Totton originally waived notice of approach for Clothier to help Bashley through an injury crisis, but Bash boss John Robson wants him as a permanent fixture.

Robson has previously managed Clothier at Alton, Winchester City and Totton and said: "Mark was superb on Tuesday. He's been getting his fitness with Totton after breaking his foot in pre-season, but I want him to be with us.

"If we can offer him a full first-team run-out then he needs to make the decision to be with us totally apart from an odd occasion when perhaps Totton are playing in midweek and he needs a game to get his fitness up."

Blankley, though, insists that Clothier cannot keep flitting between the clubs.

He said: "I really like Mark and I want him to be a Totton player full stop. Obviously I'd never stop him playing at a higher level if he can get a regular start, but I think it's more beneficial to be playing for Totton rather than sitting on Bashley's bench or playing in their reserves.

"He's got to make a decision one way or the other. Our other lads are turning up regularly for training and playing and it wouldn't be fair to leave them out on a whim because Mark's available."

Goalkeeper Mark Watson and frontman Mark Osman should be fit for Totton's home game against Portland tomorrow, but Lee Thorne (knee) is doubtful and South African striker Stuart Brown is included in Salisbury's party for Sunday's FA Cup tie at Sheffield Wednesday. Stuart Ritchie has returned to training after Achilles trouble, as has Chris Marwood following a knee operation.
