CRAIG David, Southampton's number one singer, was among the stars who took part in a concert paying tribute to John Lennon - and to the people of New York, the city where he died.
He took part in a concert called Come Together, and sang the theme tune made famous by Lennon when he was with the Beatles.
The concert at Radio City Music Hall was aimed at uplifting the spirit of the city, still reeling from the September 11 terror strikes on the World Trade Centre.
The show, broadcast live on American television, also raised money for charities helping the families of police and firefighters killed or injured in the aftermath of the attacks.
Other musicians included Alanis Morissette, Cyndi Lauper and Nelly Furtardo, while a star-studded audience included Richard Gere, Tim Roth, Ben Stiller and Kevin Bacon.
