SOUTHAMPTON'S latest music sensation was celebrating last night after entering the charts at number 20.

Alistair Julius, who lives in Southampton's Ocean Village, has achieved chart success with It Ain't Enuff, by Dreem Teem vs Artful Dodger featuring MZ May and MC Alistair.

"I'm really pleased. I think it's a great achievement to get anywhere in the top 40," he told the Daily Echo.

"We got to number 20 so we're bang in the middle," said 21-year-old Julius, who was born in Woolston.

He has already made a name for himself in the music industry, MCing for Artful Dodger, supporting Craig David on his international arena tour and providing guest vocals on De Nada's number 15 hit, Love You Anyway, earlier this year.

It's no coincidence that MC Alistair has worked with some of the biggest names in the UK garage scene, since he has been friends with Craig David and Artful Dodger since they were children.

Julius got his first taste of the music industry when he and Craig David MCed and DJed in Southampton nightclubs, before they were even legally old enough to be let through the door!

He is currently working on a solo album with Mark Hill from Artful Dodger, which will be released next year.

The project will also feature vocals from his old friend, Craig David.
