Aldridge Vehicles 2 Station Hotel 1
Foxcotte Park saw a classic battle last Thursday between two teams determined not to lose.
A mistake opened the scoring, as Vehicles keeper Mike Hood and defender Kenny Matley left the ball for each other, and Hotel player-manager Brian Austin opened the scoring.
Vehicles came out strongest in the second half and were rewarded with a penalty as Ryan Boare handled while trying to clear a Jason Webb corner. Mark Moseley put home the spot-kick with confidence.
Allan Ralph and Mike Hood made some great saves to take the game into extra-time, in which great defending by Jamie Richmond kept Vehicles in the match.
With penalties looming, a late through-ball by substitute Paul Hancock sent Moseley to the byline, where he whipped in a perfect cross for Steve Aldridge to half-volley home.
