Broadcasting legend Fred Dinenage sat on a chair and offered words of wisdom to visitors gathered around him sitting spellbound on the floor.
He said: "It is a business that is unforgiving if you make too many mistakes it will spit you out so my advice is that you learn the trade first on say a newspaper.
"There are many different ways to get into the business you can still get in as a tea boy and once your in you can look for other opportunities - I was a tea boy but I was replaced by machine.
"There are more opportunities now than there have ever been and you get well paid as well," he said.
