SOUTHAMPTON Women's skip Wendy Line scored a runaway 30-13 success to help Hampshire win their annual women's friendly against Middlesex 131-100 at West London Bowling Club.
After five ends Hampshire led 31-21 and they extended the margin to 59-46 by halfway before moving 91-71 ahead following the 15th.

Hampshire, however, came off second best at Gloucester losing 118-108 to a strong Gloucestershire side.
Hampshire won three rinks thanks to Oakley twosome Irene Owen (25-12) and Kay Kerley (23-18) and Cove's Allyson Flint (26-13). Beaten skips were Margaret Lohse of Banister Park (26-13), Joan Hennessy of Alton Social (31-8) and Fareham's Carole Lloyd (18-13).
After the match, Jenny Loftus (Southampton Women) was presented with her county badge by the Hampshire president, Diane Young.
