HAMPSHIRE women, who swept past Dorset in the double rink championship the previous week, handed out identical treatment to their neighbours in the Johns Trophy over six rinks.
Playing at the same venue - Alderbury near Salisbury - Hampshire eased through 113-91 to set up a second-round tie against Wiltshire.
However, not everything was duplicated because Wendy Line - the double rink heroine against Dorset - was on this occasion the only Hampshire skip to lose, going down 20-8 to Pat Hallam.
Hampshire did not really stamp their authority on the match until the final three ends. They led 27-25 at five ends, 52-42 by halfway and were still just 95-86 in front after 18 before a late surge made them clear winners.
