Philip Langley's Leckford B overwhelmed their A team when the sides met this week.
The contest matched son Andy Young against father Ron, and on this occasion it was Andy who came out on top, helping the B team to a 4-0 win and an increased lead at the top of the table. Philip Langley, Reg Loughlin, and Korbin Lowe of Leckford B remain unbeaten.
Both Mottisfont teams also played out a local derby with the A team, reversing the 3-1 defeat suffered at the hands of their B side earlier in the season. Alistair Holmes (with the aid of a 23 break), Peter Snell, and Ernie Jackson made the game safe for the Font A; only Martin Fletcher was able to reply for the B team.
Stockbridge B went down 3-1 at home to Wherwell, and in doing so were perhaps thankful that one of their opposing team failed to turn up (the "1" being for a walkover). Wherwell's Paul and Lee Ayers, and Paul Taylor took the points for the visitors.
Stockbridge A, who were at home to Chilbolton C, failed to take the opportunity to close the gap on the team in 2nd place going down 3-1.
Ian Carpenter for the home side retained his good spell of form, and Bill Blake, Dennis and Colin Horne for the visitors proved just good enough on the night in what were some very close matches.
