Petersfield 2 Andover New Street 2
Street started slowly and were a goal down after five minutes after a rare mistake from the usually reliable Mark Keogh.
And the visitors continued to struggle to keep the ball on a really bumpy pitch which made the ball bounce all over the place.
Street finally got to grips with the pitch in the last 20 minutes of the first half, where they had their best spell of the game. Paul Gilbert made a good run down the wing and crossed for Nic Turpin to head down into the path of Jay Mann to finish.
Street continued to press forward and scored again with Turpin again the provider for Mann to finish for his second of the game.
Street started the second half the same as the first, slowly, and were punished for it when Petersfield equalised after 10 minutes. Street pressed forward for the rest of the game but failed to score, Stuart Anderson coming closest when he headed just over from a corner.
Although Street extended their unbeaten to 22 games this was definitely two points lost, but Street remain upbeat and not many teams will enjoy playing at Petersfield. Street had another tough test in prospect against Pirelli on Wednesday night, a match due to be played at the Byepass ground, Romsey, but were frustrated that the fixture was postponed.
