The Little Britain Challenge Cup, the construction industry's annual regatta held at Cowes in September, has received over 200 registrations for this year's event within days of issuing the brochure to the 500 applicants.
This unfortunately means that the organisers cannot accept any more entries, as there is a 200-yacht limit.
The event, which is the largest regatta in the UK after Cowes week, is a blend of competitive racing in the true Corinthian spirit and serious partying and networking on land, a MIPIM on water.
Last year's event raised over £100,000 for charity, the main beneficiaries being the Cirdan and Jubilee Sailing Trusts.
This year's sponsors include Plus Wall, Spectrum, Building Design, and Norman + Dawbarn.
