Woking first XI 7 Andover first XI 1
At half-time, captain Ed Butterworth complained that "it was like watching a different team", and although he was pointing to another disappointing performance he had highlighted Andover's problem for the season.
Andover have failed to field the same side for two consecutive games, and on Saturday they showed six changes from the side that battled to beat Basingstoke recently. Andover's away day team probably played to their best ability and they matched Woking, who are second in the league, for the opening quarter of the match.
Midway through the opening half the home side's superior passing and movement cut open the Andover defence to score their first goal of the game. Andover had no answer to Woking's skill and passing, and the home side scored a further two goals before the interval.
The second half saw the Surrey side continue to breeze past a weak Andover midfield and a static defence to score a further three goals.
In the latter stages of the game Woking allowed Andover a sight of goal, resulting in their customary consolation. A patient passing move found Justin Adcock wide on the left.
The young Andover forward skilfully took the ball past his defender and sent a cross in of the goal, where Rob Thomas had timed his run perfectly to tap the ball in at the far post.
In the final minutes Woking reconfirmed their superiority and walked in another goal condemning Andover to their heaviest defeat of the season.
