YOUNGSTERS from the Thornhill area of Southampton joined in a spooky Hallowe'en workshop.
As well as a range of activities including face-painting, Hallowe'en masks and costume-making, library staff were on hand to tell ghost stories.
The Hallowe'en Art Workshop for eight to 14-year-olds was just one event from a programme of activities for children and young people called the Hinkler Road Youth Project, organised by Hampshire and Isle Of Wight Youth Options and funded by the New Deal for Communities programme.
A library project, which runs three after-school sessions a week introducing local young people to the Thornhill library, has already been established.
